Fire TV Devices Low Power Mode
Low Power Mode is available on select Fire TVs, Fire TV Sticks, and other accompanying devices.
Low Power Mode is an energy-saving feature that reduces power consumption when your Fire TV device enters sleep mode.
Your Fire TV device goes into Low Power Mode when the device goes to sleep. This occurs due to inactivity or if you put the device to sleep manually through the Settings menu.
Your device exits sleep mode when you wake up the device by pressing the Select button on your Fire TV remote.
Certain features or settings prevent your devices from maximizing the energy efficiency gains from Low Power Mode in an idle state.
These include:
- When you activate "Alexa Anytime" using the "Voice Commands When TV Screen is Off" setting on your Fire TV.
- When you set up your TV using the process in this Frustration Free Setup help page.
- When you turn on/off your TV using a paired Alexa device.
- Changing the Sleep Mode Behavior setting to Black Screen in Display settings prevents the device from turning off HDMI on your Fire TV device.
Note: If your Fire TV device has the Low Power Mode feature, the mode activates by default when your device goes to sleep. You can't deactivate this feature.
