Customize the Home Screen on Your Echo Devices with a Screen

To change the home screen content, use your Echo device's on-screen settings.

Note: Settings menu items for the Echo Hub and Echo Show 5 (all generations) may vary, and those devices will receive a software update soon.

You can use these steps on:

  • Echo Show (1st Generation)
  • Echo Show (2nd Generation)
  • Echo Show 5
  • Echo Show 8
  • Echo Show 10
  • Echo Show 11 (2025 release)
  • Echo Show 15
  • Echo Show 21

  1. Say, "Go to Settings," or go to the device settings on your Echo Show:
    • If you're using Alexa+, select the Menu icon on your screen, and then select Settings.
    • If you're using the original Alexa, swipe down from the top of the screen and select Settings.
  2. Select Display & Appearance.
  3. Select Home Content Categories.
  4. For each content option, turn the switch on or off to update what content appears.

Tip: When and how often content displays depends on what you open and engage with on the home screen.
