Manage Your Alexa Contacts

Use the Alexa app to add, remove, or update an existing Alexa contact with more details.

  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. Select More .
  3. Select Communicate .
  4. Select Contacts .
    You can select "all contacts" at the top of the page to filter contacts by source, e.g, from your phone, email, or Alexa app.
  5. Add contacts
    1. From your mobile device: you can update your Alexa contacts by using your mobile device's important contacts option in the contacts app. Contact details sync to your Alexa account in a few minutes.
    2. Manually in the Alexa app: Select the menu icon and then Add contact.

To remove, or update an existing contact:

  • From your mobile device: Make edits in your mobile device contacts and the contact details sync to your Alexa app in a few minutes.
  • Created by you in the Alexa app: Open the contact card in the Alexa app, select Edit to update information, or delete a contact.
Note: Contacts you add in the Alexa app don't appear in your mobile device's contacts list. Contacts imported from or edited by your mobile device sync to your Alexa contacts within a few minutes. You can edit the contact app on your device.
