Switch to Show Mode on Your Fire Tablet
Turn your compatible tablet into a visual display to engage with Alexa from across the room.

Important: Show Mode is compatible with:
- Fire HD 8 (7th Generation) tablets (software version 5.6.1.0 or later)
- Fire HD 10 (7th Generation) tablets (software version 5.5.0.0 or later)
- Fire HD 8 (8th Generation) tablets (software version 6.3.0.1 or later)
- Fire HD 10 (9th Generation) tablets (software version 7.3.1.1 or later)
- Fire HD 8 (10th Generation) tablets (software version 7.3.1.4 or later)
- Fire HD 10 (11th Generation) tablets (software version 7.3.1.8 or later)
- Fire 7 (7th Generation) tablets
- Fire 7 (9th Generation) tablets
- Fire 7 (12th Generation) tablets
- Fire HD 8 (12th Generation)
- Fire Max 11 (13th Generation)
- Fire HD 10 (13th Generation)
To enable Show Mode, swipe down from the top of your tablet's home screen and tap the Show Mode toggle. Alternatively, you can open the Alexa app or say "Alexa, switch to Show Mode."
To disable Show Mode, swipe down from the top of the screen and toggle the switch for Show Mode to "off," or say "Alexa, exit Show Mode."
