Reset Parental Controls Password on Your Kindle (5th Gen)

Forgot your parental controls password on your Kindle? Reset it from your device using the following steps.

Resetting your device removes all your personal information including lock screen passcode, parental controls settings, and downloaded content.

Note: Determine what Kindle E-reader model you're using before resetting. Refer to our page Identify Your Kindle E-Reader.
  1. Type "resetmykindle" into the passcode field.
  2. Press the Enter key (below the Del key).
